Not every therapist or consultant will be the right fit for every person or situation, and that’s normal. Alex’s process is to make sure that both parties feel the work ahead is aligned, workable, and worth pursuing together.

No matter the service, Alex’s process generally follows the same structure:

Initial consultation

A complimentary 15-minute call to briefly discuss what brings you in and determine whether we may be a good fit for more long-term and continued work together. This conversation allows us to review the general nature of your concerns, answer practical questions about the practice, and decide whether it makes sense to schedule further sessions.

Exploration

This phase involves a deeper discussion of your goals, life context, and areas of focus, occurring over one meeting or several. The process is collaborative and focused on understanding and establishing a shared direction. It still includes ongoing consideration of fit for longer-term work. If another provider or approach would better serve your needs, Alex will support coordination of care.

Intervention

From there, the focus shifts toward active change. Building on the shared understanding developed during earlier sessions, our work turns toward identifying and working directly with the patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships that shape daily life. As those patterns come into focus, people often discover greater freedom in how they choose to show up in their lives.
