Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do currently have availability for therapy sessions, though space is always limited. If you are interested in working together, I encourage you to reach out sooner rather than later.

  • Historically, therapy has been organized around different schools or models, with many acronyms you’ve likely heard (CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and so on). However, the field is increasingly moving away from specific therapy brands and toward understanding the core processes that support lasting change, termed process-based therapy. My approach reflects this shift, drawing flexibly from well-established methods while focusing on the patterns that keep people stuck, the processes that support change, and what unfolds within the therapeutic relationship itself.

  • All therapy sessions are conducted via secure video. Alex provides telehealth (online) therapy for adults located in PSYPACT-participating states.

  • Therapy sessions typically last around 50 minutes, which allows time to focus on meaningful work while maintaining a consistent structure from week to week.

  • Many people begin therapy with weekly sessions. Over time, the frequency may change depending on goals, progress, and individual needs.

  • At this time, I am not in-network with any insurance plans.

However, if you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurer directly to understand your specific out-of-network coverage.

  • I do not currently offer sliding scale arrangements. If this changes in the future, I will update this page.

  • You can submit a message using the contact form at the bottom of any page on this site. I typically respond within three business days of receiving a message.
